Happy 4th of July everyone! Today on The Breakdown we’re addressing two different faith traditions: Catholicism and Mormonism. What are the similarities and differences? Can we consider these traditions under the umbrella of Christianity, or not? If not, how do we share the Gospel to these groups in a loving and effective way without furthering divisions?

Principalities, Objective Truth, and Pity Parties
Saturday Jun 11, 2022
Saturday Jun 11, 2022
On this episode of The Breakdown all the regulars are back to keep answering more of your questions. How does the concept of spiritual warfare relate to the struggle between the spirit and the flesh? What is ultimate truth versus the subjective, or an “individual’s truth?” How does objective truth relate to the Gospel? And how do we move past sulking or the “pity party” in order to avoid sinning against the Lord?

Saturday Jun 04, 2022

People throughout time have believed they have encountered them—what’s the truth? Is the concept of “Godparents” Biblical, or is it just a tradition? And, does the war in Ukraine reflect anything in Scripture in terms of prophecy? How can we minister to those affected by war?

Saturday May 21, 2022
Saturday May 21, 2022
On this episode we’re answering more of your questions! First, why do Christians generally look differently towards tobacco versus alcohol? Second, is there such thing as a modern-day prophet? What about end-time predictions and so-called prophets like Nostradamus? Lastly, what about “cryptic creatures?” i.e., Bigfoot, Chupacabra, etc. Could these exist, or are they just distractions?

God’s Many Names, Expository Teaching, and God’s Love & Hate
Saturday May 14, 2022
Saturday May 14, 2022
On this episode all the regulars are back in the studio to continue answering your questions. First, in Phil Wickham’s “1000 Names,” he lists many names off that he calls God. Are these from the Bible? What do they mean? Second, Calvary teaches book-by-book, line-by-line. Is this the best way of teaching? Why do others teach differently? Last, what are we to make of God’s seemingly contradictory attitudes insofar as he “loves sinners” and “hates all who do wrong?” Can this be reconciled?

Saturday May 07, 2022
Saturday May 07, 2022
On this episode of The Breakdown, we have two very special guests in the studio to share an incredible testimony. You may remember us praying for Jim and Mellissa at the end of 2021 beginning of 2022 as Jim was in the hospital with COVID-19 and fighting for his life. He was intubated and his prognosis was grim. By God's grace, he pulled through and he and his wife Mellissa (Michelle's sister) are here to share the extraordinary blessings they received during this most difficult of trials.

Judas, the Resurrection, Pilate’s Guilt, and Direct Revelation
Saturday Apr 30, 2022
Saturday Apr 30, 2022
Returning guest host Chrissy (the pregnant) rejoins the crew today to answer more of your questions: Was Judas saved at any point in the ministry of Jesus? In Matthew’s account, it says that there were saints that were resurrected at the time of the crucifixion. What happened there? Before the crucifixion, Pontius Pilate “washes” guilt from his hands in a bowl of water. Did this absolve any of his guilt for killing Jesus? And—what are we to think when people claim direct revelation from God in the form of a message? Is this Biblical?
