Happy 4th of July everyone! Today on The Breakdown we’re addressing two different faith traditions: Catholicism and Mormonism. What are the similarities and differences? Can we consider these traditions under the umbrella of Christianity, or not? If not, how do we share the Gospel to these groups in a loving and effective way without furthering divisions?

Thomas was baptized this past Thursday at YAM and is joining us today to share his testimony. After growing up as a nominal Christian and falling into to drug and alcohol addiction, the Lord humbled Thomas and his faith became authentically his own. 

Alcohol & Tobacco, Modern Prophets, and Cryptic Creatures

On this episode we’re answering more of your questions! First, why do Christians generally look differently towards tobacco versus alcohol? Second, is there such thing as a modern-day prophet? What about end-time predictions and so-called prophets like Nostradamus? Lastly, what about “cryptic creatures?” i.e., Bigfoot, Chupacabra, etc. Could these exist, or are they just distractions?

The Bless in the Mess - Jim and Mellissa

On this episode of The Breakdown, we have two very special guests in the studio to share an incredible testimony. You may remember us praying for Jim and Mellissa at the end of 2021 beginning of 2022 as Jim was in the hospital with COVID-19 and fighting for his life. He was intubated and his prognosis was grim. By God's grace, he pulled through and he and his wife Mellissa (Michelle's sister) are here to share the extraordinary blessings they received during this most difficult of trials. 

Judas, the Resurrection, Pilate’s Guilt, and Direct Revelation

Returning guest host Chrissy (the pregnant) rejoins the crew today to answer more of your questions: Was Judas saved at any point in the ministry of Jesus? In Matthew’s account, it says that there were saints that were resurrected at the time of the crucifixion. What happened there? Before the crucifixion, Pontius Pilate “washes” guilt from his hands in a bowl of water. Did this absolve any of his guilt for killing Jesus? And—what are we to think when people claim direct revelation from God in the form of a message? Is this Biblical?
